Feeling anxious, depressed, stressed out, stuck? Psychotherapy can help. It takes courage and strength to recognize that sometimes life becomes too difficult to bear alone but realizing you need help is the right step toward change. My name is Rumi Teneva and as a psychotherapist, I can provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and respectful environment where you can understand and work through your difficulties and develop to reach your fullest potential. I will help you explore the roots of your problems and rethink the issues that are holding you back so you can understand yourself and your behavior. I have over 20 years of clinical experience, having practiced in Detroit, London, and New York. I have worked with adolescents and adults in both hospital and private settings, as well as led group therapy. My clinical practice is focused on the process of self-discovery which leads to acceptance of oneself and what’s in one’s power to change in their life. Once on this journey, I will provide guidance to finding the place of inner peace and feeling good about yourself. I have helped people regain confidence by working through unhealthy patterns that were holding them back, thus allowing them to lead a more balanced and integrated life.

Although issues associated with depression, anxiety, relational and occupational difficulties, self-esteem, and larger existential distress are common, every individual’s experience of such concerns is unique. I am adept at creating a safe and judgment-free environment that enables my clients to freely explore their concerns and the ongoing patterns which contribute to these difficulties.

I find that the healing process can be encouraged by clearly identifying underlying and contributing factors, which, in turn, promotes positive change, personal growth, and an enhanced sense of well-being. The answers to our questions and potential to evolve into the people we would like to lie dormant inside all of us and may occasionally require the guidance of a trained professional, in a safe and judgment-free environment to be realized.

By establishing a trusting relationship that encourages open, honest communication, I am able to facilitate the sort of clarity and insight that leads to both relief from emotional pain and personal growth. Within this therapeutic alliance, my clients and I explore recurring negative or self-defeating patterns as well as strategies for combating them. This process helps develop a lifestyle of continuous growth and self-improvement as well as an enduring set of skills that can be invaluable in facing life’s inevitable challenges.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM

Group Analytic Psychotherapist, Individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, Spiritual Psychotherapist, Energy Healing Practitioner, Individual and Group Psychotherapy/Spiritual Practices Supervisor

We live in a world that constantly defines everything as either good or bad. This focus on duality may increase the struggle to feel at peace with ourselves and put us in a constant effort to be better as who we are in the present time is not enough. I aim to support individuals to find their own meaning in life, quieten the critical mind and connect to their Hearts.

I have been working as a psychotherapist for the last 20 years. Through my clinical practice, I have developed extensive experience in working with various client groups, mainly diagnosed with personality disorders and addictions, offering both individual and group treatment programs.

Thirteen years ago I began developing my spiritual practice and since then I have completed a long list of training that allows me to offer comprehensive stand-alone energy healing treatments or in combination with psychotherapy.  I tend to have a holistic approach as combing different modalities has the potential to enhance the healing process.

Also, six years ago I co-developed a Spiritual Counselling course which I teach with three others colleagues.

I am also a qualified Clinical individual and Group Supervisor where the group setting becomes a containing space to explore even deeper the psychotherapeutic practice. At present, I offer clinical supervision to addictions, personality disorders, and psychotherapy services.
